Kelly Clarkson shot to fame when she won the first season of American Idol back in 2002. Today she’s a household name, working as a judge on The Voice and hosting her own NBC talk show.

In 2012, Clarkson bought this Tennessee lake home in Hendersonville, 25 miles up the Cumberland River from Nashville. The home is now for sale, priced at $7.49 million, and was recently featured on TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.

The Clarkson house is positioned on four acres. The home is designed to take full advantage of its recreational waterfront setting with a boating distance of almost a hundred river miles. There’s a long gated driveway at the entrance, which leads to a car park with a central fountain.

The grounds are host to mature trees, emerald lawns, a sand volleyball court, English-style gardens, a conservatory/greenhouse and very large pool/spa terrace with a pavilion for outdoor dining with fireplace. It’s all accessible via a grand double-sided-curved staircase descending from the upper terrace.

The interior of the house is no less spectacular. The 20,121-square-foot home has plenty of space for entertaining. The home opens into a grand foyer with soaring double staircases. There are seven bedrooms and eleven baths, with one of the bedrooms presented as a large master suite with seating area in front of a fireplace and stunning master bath.

There’s also a family room, movie theater and a children’s room with four built-in bunk beds and a play area. There’s a billiard/game room, additional seating rooms, large gym, a two-level office and an elevator.

To add a little southern charm, a cowboy bar with its saddle bar stools is also included as a nod to her country music background.

Clarkson has since moved to the West Coast for her filming schedule and decided it’s time to sell.
