Do you know who’s the richest person in your state? The folks over at howmuch.net crunched the numbers and created this 2020 map. (A full table can also be found at the bottom of the article)
Some names will be familiar. Jeff Bezos in Washington (worth an estimated $117.1 billion), Warren Buffett in Nebraska ($89.6 billion), Mike Bloomberg in New York ($58.4 billion), and Mark Zuckerberg in California ($81.9 billion).
While he’s the second-richest person in the world, Bill Gates and his $108 billion were kept off the map by fellow Washington state billionaire Bezos.
Likewise, a gaggle of uber-wealthy Californians, including Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin and Oracle’s Larry Ellison, couldn’t topple Facebook’s Zuckerberg.
